Your bet is worth something right now.

Not just when the game ends — right now, while it is still being played. Most people never find out what that number is, or when it is at its best. That is the whole of what we do, and this page explains it from the beginning. No jargon, and nothing you need to know first.

1. What “cashing out” means

Say you bet $50 on the Chiefs before kickoff. Normally you wait for the final whistle and either win or lose.

But nearly every sportsbook now offers a second option. At any point during the game it will show you a number — take this much, guaranteed, right now, and the bet is over. That is cashing out. The button is in the app, next to your bet, and it is always there.

Your $50 on the Chiefs

  • Before kickoff, cashing out returns roughly what you put in.
  • Chiefs score twice in the first quarter — it might now say $78.
  • Colts answer with two of their own — it might drop to $31.
  • If the Chiefs lose, it was worth $0 all along.

The number moves the entire game. Nothing in your sportsbook tells you when it is high.

2. Why the number moves

It tracks one thing: how likely your team is to win, from where the game stands now. A seven-point lead in the first quarter is worth far less than the same lead with four minutes left, because there is more football still to happen. Score, time remaining, and who was favoured to begin with — that is the whole calculation.

Your sportsbook is already doing this maths. It just does not volunteer the answer.

3. What we actually do

  1. Before kickoff, we price the game. We take the odds from several bookmakers, strip out the margin they build in, and get a fair estimate of each team’s chance of winning.
  2. We write it down in public. Before the game starts, where it cannot be edited afterwards. That is the difference between a record and a story told later — ours is on the results page, wins and losses together.
  3. We watch the game. Every minute, live.
  4. We email you when it matters. If a call we published is strongly winning with the clock still running, you get a message — while the cash-out is still worth taking.

What you do next is entirely yours. We are not in the room when you decide.

4. What an alert looks like

Chiefs 88% — cash-out window open

We called the Chiefs at 73% before kickoff. They are now 88% to win it, with 8:14 left in the second quarter.

If you took that call, your sportsbook’s cash-out is near its high.

That is the whole thing. No pick, no stake, no instruction — a position and a number, while you can still act on it.

5. What we are not

CacheOut is not a sportsbook. We take no bets, hold no funds and are not licensed to accept wagers anywhere. Every exit, deposit and withdrawal happens at a book you choose.
